  • Booking a room is easiest through our online booking system.

    We pre-authorize your credit card the total reservation cost at the time of booking, and charge the card for the full amount of your stay 2-3 days prior to check-in. At check-in, your card may be pre-authorized for up to $150 to cover incidentals or damage, which will be released at the time of check-out.

  • We do not offer partial room blocks.

    We do rent the whole motel for special events or parties. If you’d like to book the whole motel, please contact us directly at hello@southwindstay.com and we can talk more about how best we can accommodate you!

  • Check in starts at 3pm. At 9am on the day of your arrival, you will receive a text with a 4-digit code, which will be how you enter your room for the duration of your stay. No need to wait at the front desk — you can go right to your room!

    If you need to check in early, we will do our best to accommodate you, but cannot promise early availability. If you plan to arrive after 10pm, please let us know ahead of time.

    Please note, our lobby is closed after 6pm and there will not be staff available throughout the night.

    Checkout is at 11:00am. To check out, simply lock the door behind you and press code 1010, then the button with the check mark.

  • We understand that life happens and plans change. Due to being a small and independent motel, our cancellation policy is a little more strict than some chain hotels. Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 7 days prior to check-in. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the check-in date.

  • Cleaning: There is no full-service room cleaning unless requested, for stays of 3 nights or more. However, please let us know if you need fresh towels or trash removal.

    Damages: Any damages to furniture, linens, and other property is the responsibility of the customer. The replacement and labor costs will be charged to the card you used to pay for your reservation.

  • Only the “Classic Queen” rooms are dog-friendly (sorry, no cats as one of our team members is allergic). If you wish to bring a dog, please book the Classic Queen room on the booking page and include a pet as an “add on” after confirming your reservation. No pet will be allowed unless it was added to your reservation. No more than 1 dog is permitted per room.

  • There is no smoking permitted in our rooms or anywhere on the property within 20 feet of the building.

  • Our building quiet hours are from 9pm–8am. We want everyone to have a restful sleep throughout their stay. Please respectfully keep noise to a minimum during these hours.

    We staff the property from 9am–6pm. After hours, please call or text us for emergencies at 380-210-0563.
